چکیده

The increase of complexity and dynamics leads to new challenges in transport logistics networks. Current routing algorithms of central control are pushed to their limits in handling these new challenges. This leads to the development of an autonomously controlled routing protocol, the Distributed Logistics Routing Protocol (DLRP), which allows a better handling of the new requirements. Within the DLRP, the logistic entities perform routing decisions on their own. For that a high degree of knowledge exchange between the logistics entities is essential. Within the work presented in this paper the influences of communication disruptions are investigated. Communication disruptions can lead to partial knowledge for the logistic entities, which has negative influences on their routing decisions. This paper presents the influences of different degrees of communication disruptions on the routing processes. Key-Words: Autonomous control Distributed logistics routing protocol (DLRP) – Transport logistics – Routing algorithms – Communication disruptions

Integration of Load Carriers in a Decentralized Routing Concept for Transport Logistics Networks

In the field of transport logistics, the planning of routes is usually executed centrally. However, current trends in transport logistics exhibit higher degrees of dynamics and complexity. Central algorithms are not adequate in handling these new challenges. Therefore, new solutions are required. Within this context, the Distributed Logistics Routing Protocol (DLRP) for the autonomous and decen...

A new Bi-objective model for a Two-echelon Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem for Perishable Products with the Environmental Factor

In multi-echelon distribution strategy freight is delivered to customers via intermediate depots. Rather than using direct shipments, this strategy is an increasingly popular one in urban logistics. This is primarily to alleviate the environmental (e.g., energy usage and congestion) and social (e.g., traffic-related air pollution, accidents and noise) consequences of logistics operations. This ...

Towards a unifying framework for demand-driven directed transport (D3T)

Decentralized autonomous systems have the potential to be more performant, resilient and sustainable than classical systems under central control. For example, this includes vehicle routing problems in logistics systems, courier services, and public transport. Here, we outline elements of a framework to model, simulate, and assess the performance of such demand-driven directed transport (D3T) s...

Investigations on Object-Centered Routing in Dynamic Environments: Algorithmic Framework and Initial Numerical Results - Support for Distributed Decision Making in Transport Systems

Dynamics in logistics are a subject of increasing importance in logistic processes. The more detailed dynamics are considered, the more complicated it becomes to handle them in centralized planning. Therefore, decentralized approaches with autonomous cooperating entities might become more efficient. This paper introduces some aspects of decentralized approaches, mainly focusing on the process o...

Decentralized Routing and Power Allocation in FDMA Wireless Networks based on H∞ Fuzzy Control Strategy

Simultaneous routing and resource allocation has been considered in wireless networks for its performance improvement. In this paper we propose a cross-layer optimization framework for worst-case queue length minimization in some type of FDMA based wireless networks, in which the the data routing and the power allocation problem are jointly optimized with Fuzzy distributed H∞ control strategy ....
